JIM ROBINSON

PRESIDENT / OWNER

Since 1995 I’ve been in the painting business. I started out painting houses in my local area, right here on the Eastside of Seattle and as word got around, the business grew from a one man operation to the large scale team of contractors that makes up Robinson Paints today.

It has taken quite a long time and a heck of a lot of work but it fills me with pride to drive around and see all the beautiful properties that we’ve had the chance to work on.

Outside of work, you can probably find me hitting a few golf balls down at the club, driving up to the mountain in winter to go skiing and catching every bit of sun I can.

NANCY ROBINSON

OWNER

25 years ago Jim and I started Robinson Paints together. He would handle the painting while I ran the back office, ordering paint, managing customers and running the books. It was great to work together and see our business grow over the years. Having since stepped down from my role at Robinson Paints, I can now enjoy my time in other ways.

I love being a mom to our two amazing sons and beautiful daughter, zipping around on the golf course with Jim, heading over the mountains to ski in winter, taking the boat out in the summer months or simply chatting around the fire-pit enjoying quality family time.

Nate Robinson

sales & Operations Manager

You could say that the painting business runs in my blood. I am the son of Jim and Nancy Robinson and a second-generation painter. I was born and raised in Redmond, Washington. I graduated magna cum laude at California State University San Marcos with a bachelor’s degree in Finance. While getting my degree I also played collegiate baseball at the Division II level. I enjoy the relationships I’ve made at Robinson Paints. It is incredibly rewarding to be able to work together with our great team to achieve our common goals. I hope to continue bringing new perspectives to Robinson Paints and one day fill my father’s shoes of owning and operating a successful local painting company.

In my free time I coach a local select baseball team. If you don’t see me on the baseball diamond, you will probably find me on the links working on my golf game or up in the mountains snowboarding. I enjoy nature and any sunshine I can get in the Pacific Northwest. I am also an avid Seahawks fan!

general manager

I joined the Robinson Paints team in 2006, starting as a residential painter before moving into the office 2 years later where I could utilize my Business degree. After spending the last 12 years learning all aspects of the business, I can now say I know the industry inside and out. This knowledge, coupled with my attention to detail and love of a good challenge, has made this a job I enjoy coming to every day. Robinson Paints is a great company to work for, and I’m proud to consider myself part of the family.

On the rare occasion that I’m not working, I can usually be found outside… preferably kayaking or paddleboarding in the warm summer sun with friends. On the less sunny days, I enjoy both street and mountain biking, hiking, and snowshoeing or just working in my yard listening to an audiobook. I have a life-long desire to learn, so reading is another passion of mine. I addition to being an outstanding office manager, I’ve raised two amazing kids (and one less amazing dog) as a single mother which may explain my love for the outdoors.

Gabriel sarmiento

process and application manager

For 11 years I have been working for Robinson Paints managing project sites and customer relationships. I love coming to work because everyday on the job is a new challenge and it pushes me to always bring my best. I hope that I will be able to continue to work for Robinson Paints until my beard is grey and its time to retire.

Time outside of work is usually spent surrounded by my family. My wife and two daughters love to go on hikes and be by the ocean. We often take road trips when we go on vacation and if I’m not spending time with family you can find me in the kitchen cooking up a storm.

Jo daffern

I’ve been in the painting industry for 8 years and I brought my expertise to the Robinson Paints family business in 2022. In my time in the painting industry, I have been an office manager, bookkeeper, and estimator. I currently do all the estimating for our residential new construction painting. I enjoy being able to dive into the many paint projects we have and being able to see the creative new build and decorative ideas that are included in each one.

When I am not measuring blueprints, I enjoy spending time with my four beautiful grandchildren and exploring new travel adventures with my husband.

Stephanie Fernandez

Office Manager

I was born in Los Angeles, but spent my childhood in Guadalajara, Mexico. When I moved back to the United States in 2016, I started as a painter for Robinson Paints. Eventually, I had the opportunity to use my education and began working in the office. I enjoy being able to use my knowledge of the painting industry and my ability to speak fluent English and Spanish to help the company. I have been working for Robinson Paints for many years, and I consider them as family.

In my spare time, I really enjoy exploring everything that Seattle has to offer. Especially the mountains, the delicious food, and the city. Moving here and working with Robinson Paints has been a great experience.

Daniella Reyes

Customer Care Coordinator

I joined the Robinson Paints Family in 2022, with many years of customer service experience. Having worked in both the medical and hospitality fields, coordinating care and service has been my specialty and being able to bring that to Robinson Paints has been very fulfilling. Working with top experts in the painting industry has been rewarding and made me determined to learn the ins and outs of the painting industry.

When I’m not in the office, I am going on an adventure with friends. Whether that involves traveling to new places, hiking new trails, or checking out a new place to eat, adding new experiences both big and small brings me happiness.
